An unique walnut tub version of the 'Granville' single wishbone back chair designed by E.W.Pugin [1834-1881], patented No.247877 in 1870. This tub back and bold leg display has fine reformed Gothick detail and retains the original leather bound brass castors, c.1860-70, 34 1/2" high

Provenance: probably originally at The Grange, Ramsgate, Kent where E.W.Pugin had his office from 1861
